چکیده
Structural transformation of agriculture typically involves a gradual increase mean farm sizes and reallocation labor from to other sectors. Such structural is often fostered through innovations in newly emerging opportunities manufacturing services. Here, we use panel data households Indonesia test support the hypothesis that recent oil palm boom contributes transformation. Oil capital-intensive but requires much less per hectare than traditional crops. Farmers who adopted their cropping area, meaning some saved used for expanding farm. Average increased years. In addition, observe positive association between adoption off-farm income, suggesting also reallocated non-agricultural activities. significantly increases likelihood pursuing own non-farm businesses. However, does not being employed or services, which probably due limited demand local setting. Equitable sustainable agricultural new lucrative employment rural areas.

Palm Oil and Palm Waste Potential in Indonesia
The expansion of oil palm cultivation in Indonesia has been driven by a strong world demand for food especially fats and oils. Commencing in the island of Sumatra, it spread out to other island like Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Irian but not to the island of Bali which was already well developed. The role of palm oil in developing remote inland regions and improving the standard of living of rural ...
متن کاملExperimental Biodiversity Enrichment in Oil-Palm-Dominated Landscapes in Indonesia
Tropical biodiversity is threatened by the expansion of oil-palm plantations. Reduced-impact farming systems such as agroforests, have been proposed to increase biodiversity and ecosystem functioning. In regions where oil-palm plantations already dominate the landscape, this increase can only be achieved through systematic ecological restoration. However, our knowledge about the underlying ecol...

this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

Deforestation and oil palm expansion in Central Kalimantan province are among the highest in Indonesia. This study examines the physical and monetary impacts of oil palm expansion in Central Kalimantan up to 2025 under three policy scenarios. Our modelling approach combines a spatial logistic regression model with a set of rules governing land use change as a function of the policy scenario. Ou...
